Civilian Detentions and Looting's continues


Ethiopian military and its associated militias are reported to have detained many civilians in many parts of Ogaden. The military and its militias are accused of looting public property in broad daylight as well in the village of Ceelxaar, Jarar province

The latest illegal, civilian detentions took place on June 10th in the town of Danood. Some of the names of the detained civilians that have reached our service desk include the following five family members:

1.    Ciido Yaasiin Axmad Geelle
2.    Ayaan Yaasiin Axmad Geelle
3.    Khadar Yaasiin Axmad Geelle
4.    Khadar Wali Sh. Mmaxamuud
5.    Cabdirashid Maxamad Geelle

In related news, in the village of Ceelxaar about dozens of civilians were detained illegally by the Ethiopian military and its associated Liyu militia. The illegal detentions took place on June 22nd, 2013. The names of these detained include:

1.    Carab Xuseen Cade:  Badly beaten and jailed
2.    Carab Maxamad  Nuur: Tortured and detained
3.    Badal Raage
4.    Xuseen Khaliif Daahir: Roped his transport Camel
5.    Axmad  Gaydh: An 80 tear old traditional leader
6.    Axmad Nuur Qase
7.    The Son/Daughter of Shugri Xirsi: (We do not have the 1st name)
8.    Faadumo Nuur
9.    Awal Ismaaciil

Reports of civilian killings and disappearances follow renewed campaigns by the Ethiopian military to pressure civilians specially those who live in the countryside. It is reported that these military personnel shoot those they encounter
