Ethiopian bloggers, journalists reportedly to be linked to “terrorism” and charged

Sources have indicated that detained members of the bloggers collective, Zone 9 and three other journalists that have appeared in court within the past couple of days are to be reportedly charged of forming a link with U.K. registered press freedom organisation, Article 19 and working to implement the missions of Egypt, the Eritrean government and the opposition Ginbot 7 Movement. The defendants have been given an appointment for May 17th and 18th, 2014.

The sources added that the government is planning to charge them of having links with groups designated as terrorist organisations and taking money from abroad to ignite “colour revolution” in the Country.
Meanwhile, the final verdict of detained journalist Solomon Kebede, the Editor ofYeMuslimoch Gudaye Magazine, has been postponed to July 3, 2014. According to the families and friends of Solomon, the date was reportedly postponed because there was “no judge.” Solomon was given the same reason during his previous court appearance.
Similarly, a number of Ethiopian Muslim worshipers, captured from Adama city, Ethiopia, were also told that there was no judge and had been sent to Kaliti and Kilinto prisons yesterday.
