Ethiopia: Tirunesh Dibaba Wins Another 10,000 Meters Gold Medal

Tirunesh Dibaba won the gold medal in the 10,000m at the World Athletics Championships on Sunday.
It was another remarkable achievement to add to her extraordinary record of four gold medals in the World Championships (5,000m in 2003 and 2005, 10,000m in 2005 and 2007), three Olympic gold medals (5,000m and 10,000m in 2008 and 10,000m gold in 2012) as well as two 5,000m Olympic bronze medals (2004 and 2012).
She also has won four gold medals and two silver medals at the world cross-country championships.
Ethiopia is currently lying second in the medal classification table of the IAAF World athletics championships taking place in Moscow with Kenya third, both having three medals each.
Ethiopia has one gold through Tirunesh Dibaba; one silver from Ibrahim Jeilan (10.000m) where he came second to Mohamed Farah, Britain's Somaliland-born world champion; and a bronze medal from Belaynesh Oljira who came third in the women's 10,000m.
Kenya's gold medal was won Edna Ngeringwony Kiplagat who won the women's marathon; Gladys Cherono came second to Tirtunesh to take the silver medal ion the women's 10,000 and Paul Kipngetich Tanui tookm the bronze medal in the men's 10,000m.
