ሰማያዊ ፓርቲ በአገራችን ካሉ የተቃዋሚ ፓርቲዎች በዲሞክራሲ ወገንኝነቱ የሚታወቅና በጠመንጃ አፈሙዝ ሀገሪቱን ላለፉት 25 አመታት በመግዛት ላይ ያለውን አምባገነን ስርአት በሰላማዊ ትግል በማስወገድ በዲሞክራሲያዊ ስርአት የሚመራ መንግስት ለመመስረት የሚታገል ፓርቲ ነው። የፓርቲው ዋና መመሪያ የሆነውና በሰላማዊ ትግል በመታገዝ የዲሞክራሲያዊ ስርአትን መመስረት የሚለው ይህው አላማው በህዝቡ ዘንድ ከፍተኛ ተቀባይነት ኧንዲያገኝ አስችሎታል። መንግስት በአንድ ወቅት ጠንካራ የነበረውን አንድነት ለፍትህና ለዲሞክራሲ ፓርቲ በህገወጥ መንገድ ኧንዲፈርስ ሲያደርግ አባላቱ የጀመሩትን ትግል ለመቀጠል ሰማያዊ ፓርቲን መቀላቀላቸው ለዚህ አባባላችን በቂ ማስረጃና የምናስታውሰው የቅርብ ጊዜ ትዝታ ነው።

ይህንኑ ፈለግ በመከተልም በውጪ የሚገኙ የሰማያዊና የአንድነት ፓርቲዎች ድጋፍ ሰጪዎች ለሰማያዊ ፓርቲ የምርጫ ቅስቀሳ የሚውል ፋይናንስ በጋራ የማሰባሰቡን ተግባር በአግባቡ ተወጥተዋል። ከዚህ ባለፈም ተዋህደው ኧንደ አንድ አካል የሚሰሩበትን ምቹ ሁኔታ ለመፍጠር ሲንቀሳቀሱ ቆይተዋል። በዚሁ መሰረት ባሁኑ ወቅት የሰማያዊ ፓርቲ የሰሜን አሜሪካ ድጋፍ ኧና የአንድነት ዲሲ ሜትሮ ቻፕተር ተዋህደው የሰማያዊ አንድነት ድጋፍ በሰሜን አሜሪካ በሚል ሰያሜ ስር መሆናቸውን ስናበስር ታላቅ ደስታ ይሰማናል።

የሰማያዊ አንድነት ድጋፍ በሰሜን አሜሪካ ዋና አላማዎችም ሰማያዊ ፓርቲን በሁለንተናዊ መልኩ መደገፍ፤ በሰሜን አሜሪካ የሚገኙ የሰማያዊ ፓርቲ አባላትና ደጋፊዎች የትግሉ አካል በመሆን የበኩላቸውን ድርሻ ሊያበረክቱ የሚችሉበትን ፎረም ማመቻቸት፤ የተለያዩ አርቲክሎችን ማዘጋጀት ኧንዲሁም በኢትዮጲያ ጉዳይ ዙሪያ ያሉ ወቅታዊ መረጃዎችን በማሰባሰብ በሰሜን አሜሪካ ለሚገኙ የሰማያዊ ፓርቲ አባላትና ደጋፊዎች ማሰራጨት የሚሉት ተጠቃሾች ናቸው።

የህወሃት ኢህአዴግ አፈናና ጭቆና ኧየጨመር በሄደ መጠን ለነጻነት የሚደረገው ትግል በላቀ ሁናቴ ሊፋፋም ይገባዋል። ለዚህ ኧውን መሆን ደግሞ በውጭ የሚገኘው ኢትዮጵያዊው ዲያስፖራ ወሳኝ ድርሻ ይኖረዋል። በመሆኑም የሰማያዊ አንድነት ድጋፍ በሰሜን አሜሪካ በሰላማዊ ትግል ዲሞክራሲን ኧውን ለማድረግ፤ የሰብአዊ መብቶች ኧንዲከበሩ፤ የነጻ ፕሬሱ ኧንዲያብብና መልካም አስተዳደር ኧንዲሰፍን ኧንዲሁም የነጻ ገበያ ስር አት ኧንዲያብብና ብሄራዊ አንድነታችን ኧንዲጸና ለሚታገሉ ተቃዋሚዎች ሁሉ መሳሪያ ሆኖ ኧንደሚያጋለግል ኧምነታችን የጸና ነው።

Semayawi (Blue) Party is one of the foremost pro-democracy political parties in Ethiopia that is conducting a non-violent struggle to establish a democratic system of government in a country that has been ruled with an iron fist by a totalitarian regime for the past 25 years. The party’s main principle of non-violent struggle to democratize Ethiopia enjoys broad public support. It is to be remembered that after the regime illegally banned the once strong Andenet Party, most of its members joined Semayawi Party in order to continue their struggle.

Following their footsteps and recognizing the need for unified support, Andenet and Semayawi Support Groups have been fundraising in support of Semayawi Party during its campaign for election. In addition to this collaboration, the groups have been working towards merger. Today, we gladly announce that Semayawi Support North America and Andenet DC Metro Support Chapter have finalized the process and completed the merger. The new unified support group will operate under the name Semayawi Andnet (Semayawi) Support North America (SASNA).

Semayawi Andnet (Semayawi) Support North America (SASNA) mission is to provide all rounded support to Semayawi Party; to provide a forum for Semayawi supporters and other like-minded individuals in North America to get involved in the struggle; to disseminate research articles and/or materials and information which have relevant bearings on Ethiopia, Semayawi supporters, and the Ethiopian Diaspora in North America.

As the repression level of the TPLF/EPRDF regime continues, the need for more intensified struggle for freedom becomes necessary; and for these efforts to succeed, the support of Ethiopians in the diaspora will continue to play a vital role. It is our belief that SASNA will serve as an instrument in supporting the effort of non-violent opposition political parties in promoting democracy, human rights, free press, good governance, free market, and national unity.
