Why this incident happened in Kofelle but not other places?

What happened in Kofelle is very saddening and deplorable. Moreover the government's action has a potential of injecting a dangerous tone into the ongoing peaceful and legitimate movement of Ethiopia n Muslims. Whatever the triggering point of the incident in Kofelle might be, I can hardly buy the government narrative, the very act of killing and arresting peaceful civilians is regrettable.

Is Kofelle an accident or part of the national crackdown before the anticipated demonstration on Ed day? Was it intended to provoke the Muslim community or send a warning signal to Muslims everywhere in the country? Why this incident happened in Kofelle but not other places?
Conducting independent investigation is not in the nature of EPRDF, neither other independent bodies allowed to conduct one. Fellow citizens living in the area may help the nation in establishing the facts for the sake of justice and truth. Information blackout or lack of it always create a fertile ground for government propaganda and other unfounded allegations. However, the facts we already know about Kofelle, the death of fellow countrymen and women, is enough reason to denounce the act and the perpetrators.

The government has been irresponsible all along the way since the beginning of the peaceful movement; the responsibility to remain calm and stand by the principle of peaceful struggle rests again on the shoulder of our Ethiopian Muslim brothers and sisters. Time will come to see the perpetrators facing justice. My condolence to the family and friends of those who lost their life and injured. When are you coming back to your senses, EPRDF? 'Common sense is not so common' especially among those who are willing and ab le to justify repression as far as it doesn't affect them immediately.
